What we collect

The website does not contain account registration, checkout forms or advertising trackers. If you accept optional analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about visits, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how visitors reached the site. We do not use Analytics to ask for your name. If you choose to email grumpydug@weegieuniverse.org, we receive the email address you use and whatever information you include in your message.

Why we use it

Analytics information helps us count visits and understand which Weegie Universe pages people find useful or entertaining. Information you send by email is used to read and respond to your message, deal with a request you make, or manage a genuine Weegie Universe enquiry. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed for your question.

How long we keep it

Messages are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, the project or any legitimate record-keeping requirement, then deleted when no longer required.

Cookies and technical information

Google Analytics is optional and does not load unless you select “Accept analytics” in the cookie notice. You can decline and continue using the whole site. Use the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Declining after acceptance disables Analytics and removes Analytics cookies accessible to this site. The hosting service may still process technical request information needed to deliver, protect and operate the website.

External links

The site links to services such as X and to your own email application. Once you follow an external link, that service operates under its own privacy and cookie practices.

Your choices and rights
